The most difficult part of each work is to start doing it. And with essay writing is the same. We often find a lot of reasons for rescheduling it, but still we will have to do it, and it’s better earlier than later. So, my recommendations to those, who need a help starting an essay are the following:
First of all: don’t panic. Stay calm. You know that you have to do it and you will cope with it for sure. The time has come…
Go to the store. Buy a lot of food, coffee and other energy drinks to be able to work as long as it is needed.
Switch off or even better remove somewhere all the things that can disturb you, like: phone, TV, music, etc. These are great temptations and you shouldn’t see them.
Make a concrete attitude that you will not leave your place till the time you finish your work. This will be a good motivation to finish your work sooner.
Find all the necessary material (you may go to the library beforehand) that will help you to write your essay.
Think about the topic. What is it? What does it mean for you? What does it mean for society? Do you agree with some of the main approaches? These philosophic thoughts should help you to set yourself up for your essay.
Write all your thoughts. The most difficult part by the way .
Read what you have written and leave only thoughts concerning the topic (delete all four-letter words )
Check your writing for mistakes and slang phrases.
Find whether your essay consists of all the necessary parts and depicts really the given topic. If not you have to rewrite it. This is not a very funny part.
Read your essay for the last time and think: what mark you would put for this work, if you were your teacher. Is it excellent? Of course it is!!!
